Q: What are the differences in material?
A: There are 4 different levels of filament: regular, premium, exotic, and limited. The main difference from regular to premium is a really nice silk/glossy look (although some regular colors like black can still be glossy.) Exotics tend to have an ombré color scheme. Filaments that are kept in small supply and are generally reserved for large prints are listed as limited.
Q: Can I mix colors?
A: Yes. Just be clear what colors you would like for each part. When ordering a dab station with a storage tray there are generally 6 different pieces listed below. “Material type” applies to the primary color of the item, as well as any dab station storage trays. When choosing a color for couplers or dividers, feel free to choose from any of the colors available regardless of what material type. The color scheme below is a default I use if nothing else is specified.
Base | Main print | Primary material |
Base Dividers | Small dividers for the main print | Secondary material |
Couplers | 18mm Male to 14mm Female couplers | Secondary material |
Storage Tray Riser | The outside part of the storage tray that holds the base up | Primary material |
Storage Tray | Tray that moves in and out | Secondary material |
Storage Tray Dividers | Dividers for the storage tray | Primary material |
